Certifications
ISCC is the first international certification system that can be used for sustainability and greenhouse gas savings for all types of biomass and bioenergy.
Directive 2009/28/EC, which constitutes the basis of the ISCC scheme, establishes for the member states of the European Union that liquid biofuels will only receive financial support or be taken into consideration for the fulfillment of renewable energy quotas if the biomass used was sustainably produced.
The objective of the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification - ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) system is to establish an international and transparent scheme for the certification of biomass and bioenergy.
